To all of you who participated in my re-election to a fourth four-year Council term, I am grateful for your support. While vote totals are still preliminary, it appears congratulations are in order for Gail Price, Karen Holman, Nancy Shepherd, and Greg Scharff who also will be serving on Council joining holdover Councilmembers Sid Espinosa, Pat Burt, Yiaway Yeh, and Greg Schmid.

As the only Council candidate receiving endorsements from all three local newspapers...the Palo Alto Weekly, the Daily News, and the Daily Post, I am gratified that my experience and leadership skills are also highly valued by Palo Alto voters.

Endorsements from The Sierra Club, the Dean Democratic Club of Silicon Valley, and iPaloAlto are much appreciated. I am publishing my responses to their questionnaires here.

Government transparency is vitally important in a democracy. To underscore my conviction and provide leadership on this issue, a number of groups have requested Council candidates complete their questionnaires which I am also publishing.

There are many issues facing Palo Alto today; for me, three stand out: 1) the City Budget, 2) the environment, and 3) our quality of life that makes Palo Alto so desirable. As this Palo Alto Weekly profile indicates, I approach each issue with experience, leadership, and a vision for our future.

Solid support from voters like you was critical to set the stage for continued progress in Palo Alto.

Thanks for your support,
